It is difficult to conduct a fair and consistent evaluation in the midst of a pandemic environment with disrupted studies and broken processes. Many factors could contribute to the failure, including inefficient exams, logistical issues with inconsistent paper marking, human errors, time delays, space management, and so on.
On-Screen Marking (OSM) provides a comprehensive platform for evaluating pen and paper-based summative exams on computer screens. OSM transforms the marking and scoring of summative/descriptive answer scripts into a precise, simple, secure, and efficient process.
The eVAL On-Screen Marking system distributes scanned paper-based answer scripts electronically and marks them on screen by examiners. Throughout the marking process, the software records the marks assigned by examiners as well as their comments and annotations.
After examination, answer sheets are collected and sent to a secure scanning facility which is capable of processing huge volumes of sheets.
Answer sheets are scanned using high speed ADF scanners and uploaded into eVAL OSM for further processing.
No paper sheets are sent to examiners or evaluator.
Administrator and Department head can configure complete examination related activities.
Subjects, question paper and marking schemes are managed in a paperless environment.
Administrator can add Department, Subjects, also can create test etc.
Department head can monitor the progress of all the examiners in real time having a better control over the entire evaluation process.
Data gathered from marking can be used for analysis to gain deeper insights into performance.
Post completion of answer sheet evaluation marks is exported for preparing results in multiple formats such as CSV, PDF etc.
Results can be compiled in batches or selectively as per the need of the user.
All marked answer sheets are archived in Document Management System (DMS) for long-term preservation of the answer sheets.
Using the DMS, the answer sheets of any student can be retrieved any time without any hassie, that require absolutely no human labor at all.
After result declaration, students can view their answer sheets along with the comments provided by examiner.
Student can also raise a recheck request after paying the respective fees specified by the Authority.
